    Thank you very much for answering my question. I really appreciate it!


    Yes, I was recently told that I'll need the 60Hz pulley to reach the correct frequency. I have sent an email to the seller of the of the PE-33 motor a couple of days ago but he hasn't responded yet. In the meantime, I'll continue to scour the world in search for the elusive 60Hz. Lol! Hopefully I'll be able to find more than one so the next person will have an easier time obtaining one.


    By the way, I won an auction for a very nice Dual 1219 here in the States. It'll need servicing (as they all eventually do) but I look forward to hearing it. Furthermore, I'll be lurking around this forum trying to gain as much wisdom as I can about these mechanical wonders. Hopefully I'll pick up a little German too!

    I've read your many insightful posts regarding Duals so hopefully you may be able to help me with my dilemma. I'm considering the purchase of a PE 34 turntable from Germany and need to know how do I convert the unit from 50Hz to 60Hz? Usually it is as easy as changing the pulley but I am not aware of a 60Hz pulley for this unit. Do you know where to find one? I've read the service manual on Vinyl Engine for the FE-33 and saw that there was a 60Hz pulley available for it. Do you think that it's possible for a 60Hz pulley from a 2020/40 to be interchangeable with the 34? I prefer not to use a standalone frequency/voltage converter, by the way.


    Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

      it would be a pure coincidence if the 60Hz pulley for the 2020 would somehow work.
      Have a closer look at both drive systems:
      The PE 34 turntable combines a belt drive from the motor to the intermediate pulley, with an idler drive which drives the table.


      The PE 2020 is a pure idler drive.


      The solution is using the 60Hz drive pulley.
      Since you mentioned 60Hz i assume you are from the United States. Make sure the turntable you are buying has the 110V/220V switch (it's the black round one underneath the platter).
      Some units - especially those that were installed in consoles or combination units - were hard wired to the specific voltage needed.

      or you could have one made but i don't know the exact dimensions. A quick search did not produce a result for this part on Ebay but some patience might help.
