    Hello everyone,

Still working on this 1219 that seems to be getting more misadjusted as I work on it.

I have three settings that need to be adjusted but since they're all related (ie. they seem to have an effect on one another) I don't know which one to adjust first or even how. I do have the service manual and have gone over it several times, and I also have the PDF by that American guy, but that one doesn't go into these adjustments.

The settings that are misadjusted are the locating screw (54 on service manual), the equalising arm (194) and part 212 (the height adjuster for the arm lift piston). I just can't figure out in what order or even how these need to be adjusted.

Before I messed with them the problem was that the arm would not lift in multi-mode (there is an entry in the service manual for that, which is what prompted me to adjust #194... but I should have got the other settings right first!).

I would truly appreciate anyone's help, I don't think I will be able to get this turntable going again without it.

    Thanks in advance, rgds.,

    Hello everyone.

I've been wondering about this for a while and thought I would ask here, figure if you guys don't know, then no-one will! :)

I know that on the 1219 you can put the 45 adapter at the top of the tall (stacker) spindle to make the turntable repeat the last record. But I was wondering whether there is any way to do this with the short (single-play) spindle. Since it's the one I use most of the time - I don't like to stack LPs, but sometimes would appreciate being able to let a side play a couple of times while I'm doing something else.

So... that is the question. A simple one as you can see. Hope someone will be able to help.

    Thanks in advance, rgds.,

I see. I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how this needs to be adjusted (I'm afraid I fiddled with it hoping it would fix something, clearly it hasn't), could you possibly help me here? Does this adjustment only have an effect in Multi-mode? From what little I do understand of the service manual, it appears to interact, as far as adjustment goes, with adj. #212 (lift piston).

    Thanks again for your patience.

Hello everyone, first post here I believe. I hope it is OK to write in English (I do not know any German, sorry :\ ).

I'm currently working on a 1219 (I believe it's a 2nd-gen unit, it says 'single' and 'multi' instead of 's.p.' and has the raised lift adjustment screw) which I have made some progress on - namely, I fixed an issue that was caused by a thin metal lever having snapped out of its place, fixed the steuerpimpel, and more recently replaced the single-multi rubber grommet, so everything is working properly now.

More or less. Actually what is happening is that the unit works perfectly in Single mode, but when I switch to Multi it stops lifting the tonearm. By this I do not mean the early-production units that had no cueing in Multi-mode; no, this is something malfunctioning because the turntable will literally DRAG the stylus across the LP. I have tried a couple of the arm height-related adjustments but none of them seems to make a difference.

I cannot picture what might be wrong. Hopefully one of you will be able to help me?

    Thanks!
